Turn
Your Land into Income: Earn Lakhs with Kerala’s Tree Bank Scheme
No
expense at all, if you own land, the government will pay you! Earn lakhs in 15
years.
To encourage tree
cultivation, the Forest Department has launched the Tree
Bank Project. Under this scheme, individuals who plant trees on
their private land will receive financial assistance from the government. Those
who plant the tree species specified by the government will be eligible for
financial support for up to 15 years. After the completion of the project
period, landowners will be granted permission by the Social
Forestry Division Office to cut down the trees. The primary
goal of the project is to increase the state’s
forest cover.
